Hi, I'm Wenisa. You can call me 'Wen'.

For over 20 years I have been passionate about fitness and wellbeing. I've been on a long and varied education journey which has led to the development of a bespoke approach to assessing my clients needs and designing remedial programmes so they can take charge of their wellbeing.
My goal is to allow my clients to move freely and without pain. Where clients have potentially chronic pain, my goal is to identify opportunities to reduce it as far as we can and improve quality of life.
I've been a personal trainer and group exercise coach for many years and I also conduct a number of other healing modalities in my practice, including biodynamic cranio-sacral therapy, sports massage, active isolated stretching and other techniques to extract the very best results.
I work from our home gym and treatment room for a limited number of hours a week and see all my clients in the tranquility of our home just outside the lovely village of Abbot Bromley in Staffordshire.

My Unique Approach -
may involve some or all of the below depending on your needs
Here I will conduct a coaching session to help you articulate your own particular situation. My main job is to listen and extract as much pertinent information as possible as the groundwork to understanding our coaching parameters and desired outcomes.
The human body is a complex thing. My study of Thomas Myers 'Anatomy Trains' helps me to understand how tensions, imbalances and under / over recruiting of certain muscles may be affecting your condition. It helps us get to the cause in many cases. I will explain what we find as we go along and how we will go about achieving a remedy.
In the remainder of the session I will apply some of the techniques / methods in order to make a start on your recovery journey and to assess how your body is responding to the approach.

First Consultation and Assessment
A.I.S
The Active Isolated Stretch method allows us to work together to improve range of motion and reduce muscular tension as well as to 'wake up the recuriment of the required muscle which may have been on holiday wihtout you knowing.
Sports Massage
Using a combination of manual techniques this massage is use to complement my other treatment modalities. It can seldom be described as relaxing and frankly can be a little painful at times, however by working to improve blood flow through muscle and water transportation through the fascia, this modality plays an important part in some of my holistic programmes. A high quality oil is applied to the skin throughout. CIMSPA L3 Certified.
Personal Coaching
My go-to, to get you back on the right path.
Includes corrective exercise techniques, mobility work and strength and conditioning coaching which is truly bespoke so you are also empowered to act on your own once we are on the right path.

Biodynamic Cranio-Sacral Therapy (BDCST)
The human body is capable of perhaps a lot more than we may may think, including self-healing. BDCST provides the environment and the conditions for this to take place.

Combination Session
A session where we will use several of the tools and techniques available to make progress. This may involve some manual work to release tension, to mobile a joint or to increase range of motion, followed by some personal coaching time in the gym to add loaded movement to build strength and develop good form. Simply put, we will do what it takes to get the job done! This is usually the default follow up session following the first consultation unless recommended otherwise.
